Our long-time friend and business partner, James Morton Gravely, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 26, 2019 at the age of 70. A 45 year veteran of Moore and Giles, “Jimbo” was a direct link to the company’s early beginnings in the footwear business, calling on shoe factories around the country. Jimbo had a giant personality, an army of loyal friends and a love of life that was infectious. He thrived in an industry that was always changing by adapting, working hard, and tirelessly serving his customers—a legacy that we celebrate, admire, and strive to build upon.
