A Holiday Tradition Fit for a King
AND A HAWK, TOO
Hunting season is here!
it’s still a sight to behold. We’re all giddy to be hunting together, but King and Hawk are the happiest of all. While the experience of sharing a hunt together is all the reward we need, we always make use of the birds we bring home. An old hunting buddy of mine, who also happened to own a restaurant, handed over a recipe for pheasant that always graces our holiday table. This year, Dane and Forrest will be traveling from Boulder to join me on our yearly hunt. Between heading out and coming back, it will feel like the holidays have begun in earnest. Regardless of what we bring home, the trip is always a success, because it’s time spent doing something I enjoy with people I love.
And it’s not just the human members of our family that take part. We have two bird dogs, King and Hawk, who are integral to making the trip a success. Honestly, one of the most fun aspects
