Creative Kids Canada Inc. is a charitable-giving program designed to help children and youth, whose families are facing financial barriers, participate in arts and culture programming. The program primarily relies on funding from sponsors, donors and fundraising initiatives. SaskCulture, through the Culture Section of the Trust, provides an annual grant to this program, as well as covers administrative costs so that 100% of community donations go directly to helping Saskatchewan children and youth shine, grow and belong. Since 2010, Creative Kids has granted over $8.76 million , helping 18,351 kids from 294 Saskatchewan communities. This program results in a huge investment in the cultural community, as the program supports over 700 cultural workers living and working in Saskatchewan — music, dance, theatre, art and cultural instructors who are registered Creative Kids Service Providers.
