Un nouveau CA pour Dump the Dump

Rappelons que le groupe a été créé il y a deux ans pour défendre la municipalité contre une proposition du groupe Taggart- Miller d’établir un lieu d’enfouissement sanitaire au nord de Russell.

Students at Cambridge Public School in Forest Park celebrated their final day of the school year with an awards ceremony on June 27. Isabelle Ranger, above, received the award for Highest Achievement from teacher ShannonHenderson. Awards were given out for English, French, Academic Achievement, Character Always, Achieve- ment, and Sportsmanship.

Le Club Richelieu Embrun a remis un chèque de 5000$ au Club Optimiste Embrun pour la réalisation de son projet de Parc à Jets d’eau au Parc Yahoo. Le président du Club Richelieu, Gilles Gratton, et le trésorier du Club Richelieu, Gérald Garant, ont présenté le chèque à la trésorière du Club Optimiste, Francine Bergeron, et à la re- sponsable de la cueillette de fonds pour le parc, Joanne Verner-Perras. Ce projet rencontre les objectifs des deux organismes, qui œuvrent pour le bien-être de la jeunesse dans la communauté. Les œuvres du Club Richelieu sont financées grâce à son tournoi de golf annuel. Celui de cette année aura lieu au Club Casselview, le 15 septembre. On peut s’inscrire en composant le 613 443-3625.
