LETTER FROM THE CEO Generation Distinct: To See A Generation Radically Committed to Christ and His Mission
As we bid farewell to another transformative year at Generation Distinct, we are thrilled to reflect on the incredible milestones and impact achieved together. The unwavering commitment of our community has propelled us forward, making 2023 a year of unparalleled success. Program Participation: Since launching the Generation Distinct Programs, nearly 150 young individuals have gone through our program. This influx of passionate individuals is a testament to the resonance of our vision and the effectiveness of our programs in empowering and equipping young leaders. Picture the transformative possibilities: 150 purpose-driven young leaders equipped with a clear sense of mission, a well-crafted strategy, and tangible goals to launch their visions globally, actively sharing the Gospel within their communities. This not only signifies a potential world-changing impact but also represents a sustainable approach to strategically bring the Gospel to every corner of the earth. Indeed, investing in young leaders becomes a catalyst for global change. Global Reach: Generation Distinct has continued to extend its influence across borders, reaching young adults in nine countries around the world . Our commitment to fostering conversations around passion, purpose, and justice knows no boundaries, as evidenced by the diverse and widespread impact experienced by our global community.

untitled_ Conference Impact: The untitled_ Conference emerged as a pivotal moment for 40 young leaders whose callings were mobilized and ignited during the event. This invite-only conference for young adults who have participated in the Generation Distinct program propelled these leaders toward a deeper understanding of their purpose and empowered them to make a lasting impact in their respective spheres of influence. Gospel Outreach through Cohort Initiatives: The ripple effect of our Cohort graduates has been nothing short of extraordinary. Hundreds of new individuals have had the opportunity to hear the Gospel through the initiatives launched by our dedicated cohort graduates. This not only speaks to the effectiveness of our training programs but also highlights the profound influence our community exerts in spreading the Gospel in every sphere of society. Looking Ahead: As we step into the coming year, the momentum built in 2023 propels us forward with a sense of anticipation and commitment. Our mission to empower the next generation to ‘discover the wrong they were born to make right’ remains at the forefront, and we are excited to continue making a lasting impact on individuals, communities, and nations. In a world characterized by rapid change and unprecedented connectivity, the challenges and opportunities in reaching the hearts and minds of the youth demand innovative strategies. Your commitment to Generation Distinct has enabled us to be at the forefront of utilizing innovative approaches to see the Next Generation radically committed to Christ and His mission. We are passionate about creating a future where the next generation rediscovers Jesus Christ and is unleashed as innovative missionaries to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth. But, what is an innovative missionary? We define an innovative missionary as young adult who is driven by a profound commitment to evangelism and trained to employ diverse strategies to proclaim the Gospel to their generation in impactful ways. This approach involves not only traditional methods but also ventures into realms such as starting businesses, creating platforms, utilizing the arts, leveraging technology, and actively caring for those who are suffering. These missionaries, deeply connected to their own generation, recognize that the core of every strategy is evangelism—the heartbeat of everything they do. By meeting people where they are, whether through entrepreneurial endeavors, creative expressions, or compassionate outreach, innovative missionaries aim to make the Gospel accessible and profoundly relevant to the unique challenges and aspirations of their peers. By investing in innovative technologies and methodologies, we bridge the gap between tradition and the contemporary context in which the Next Generation navigates daily. Our commitment to evangelism, discipleship, and the Gospel remains unwavering, and we are leveraging these innovative strategies as powerful tools to convey the timeless truths of Jesus Christ. We sat down for a conversation with Jim Stollberg, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Halftime™ to discuss partnership, purpose, and multiplication: Could you share why you’re passionate about supporting Generation Distinct and how you believe it can impact the Next Generation’s commitment to Christ and His mission? The mission of GenD aligns well with my personal mission to multiply multipliers, to bring personal transformation for Kingdom impact. GenD’s ability to engage and transform young leaders to step into their God given mission, the wrong they were born to make right, creates the Kingdom multipliers of the future. I am passionate about investing in that. What drew you to give to the work of Generation Distinct’s and how do you envision it making a real difference in the lives of young people? As a father of two young adults, I am concerned about the future world they will live in. I believe the best way to influence that future is to invest in the next generation and commission them to bring the Kingdom to all corners of our society. To be the salt and light we are called to be. GenD can change the future by changing those who will be leading the future. Can you walk us through a personal experience or insight that made you confident in Generation Distinct’s ability to transform the lives of the Next Generation? I had the privilege of attending the untitled_ Conference this past year and witnessed the stories of the young leaders discovering their purpose through the GenD process. I was astounded by the power of these testimonials, each rooted in the joy of discovering God’s unique call on their lives.

This gave me complete confidence that not only is the GenD mission worthy, it is achievable and needs to be accelerated. About Jim: Jim spent 30 years in business, holding leadership roles in the supply chain automation and management consulting industries. In 2018, Jim founded Gemini Global Advisors to assist his clients in achieving similar results to what he has delivered throughout his career. His clients include venture capital, private equity and supply chain technology companies. He has served in several board and advisory roles with privately held market leaders, including Shipmonk, Autostore and Covariant.ai. Like many, Jim first heard of Halftime through the book. It was given to him by a mentor when he was in his late 20’s. He loved it, but found himself committed to achieving “success” above all else. About 25 years later, that same mentor recommended he participate in the Fellows Program, which he did in 2019. It was nothing less than transformational.
Jim’s mission is to multiply the multipliers; bring leadership and resources to invest in personal transformation and Kingdom impact.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and continued his education at INSEAD, where he completed the Global Executive Program. He serves on Marquette’s Supply Chain Advisory Board and volunteers for their Advanced Global Business Leadership program. He previously served on the Supply Chain Advisory board at Georgia Tech.

A STRUGGLING SONGWRITER Meet Jorden Anderson, June 2023 Cohort
Before Generation Distinct, knew what I felt God was calling me to do but didn’t know where to start my niche is songwriting and I’ve experienced consistent writer’s block for almost two years. It was an endless cycle of spontaneous creative moments that never went anywhere. I’d get halfway through a song and start a new one because ideas would just stop coming. This past June, I joined a Generation Distinct cohort and quickly realized this is where I needed to be within weeks of joining the program. I understood why I was experiencing this chronic creative block. I was placing my identity within my gifts and not the creator who gave me these gifts to glorify him. Generation distinct, helped me overcome my desire to build a platform with my own hands. It helped me overcome comparison with other believers and lastly helped me grow in deeper relationship with Jesus. Since finishing the June 2023 cohort of generation Distinct. I finished seven songs and have released one recently on all streaming platforms. I’m now spreading the gospel through music and walking out the Great Commission. Generation Distinct forever changed my life radically and I’m extremely grateful for Hannah, Aaron, and the Gen D team for the endless resources, curriculum and community they’ve cultivated and shared with me. I’m Jorden Anderson and I discovered the wrong I was born to make right.

A SONG OF HOPE Meet Vaeh, November 2022 Cohort
Before Generation Distinct’s untitled_ Conference, I was all over the place. I knew what my passion was, but I did not know how to step into it. I didn’t know what to do. Being able to share my passion with you all and to be encouraged so much helped me see that this is what I’m supposed to do. I came to untitled and had the opportunity to perform a song I wrote during a very difficult time in my life for the very first time on any stage. I took the video of my performance of my original song at untitled_ and posted it on TikTok... and the video went viral! I have now reached over 300,000 people with the good news of Jesus through the song I wrote! I asked God to make it obvious if music is what I’m supposed to pursue. Through untitled_ Conference, God completely made it obvious! I told God that I’m all in and so ready.
You pick me back up. You show me true love. Same God today and tomorrow. “

A FULL CIRCLE MOMENT Meet Isabella Arias, November 2021 Cohort
Before Generation Distinct, I was living with one foot in the world and one foot in God. I didn’t know what my purpose was. And if I even had a pur- pose, I didn’t think that God would ever be able to use my story for his glory. I had Christian friends who believed that it was ok to show up to church hungover on a Sunday and I started to believe that lie for myself. It wasn’t until I finally dove into the community of Generation Distinct and started the program that I started to find so many different passions that I didn’t even know existed.
Isa has been a champion for mission of community in Gen D, helping new leaders feel seen and known.

But, I found them through Generation Distinct. Some of these passions involved me getting fully involved with our students ministry at my local church. I was a students leader for a year and I just saw how passionate I was about people who were in middle school and high school ages because that’s the age where I started to turn away from the Lord. I also started a podcast and I started my own marketing agency and I just launched all these passions that I didn’t even know I could even do on my own. But I had people like Hannah, and Aaron, and Michael, and Patrick, which were the mentors of my cohort, who believed in me more than I could ever believe in myself. Now, I get to share with amazing friends about this program and I’ve had friends do this program and they just feel exactly the same about because they have also been able to dive deeper into their visions and have visions that they didn’t even know they could create in their minds. It has just been so special and I’m so passionate about Generation Distinct because of how much it’s transformed my life. I know it’s going to impact millions more and I can’t wait to live to see the day. I’m Isabella Arias and I have discovered the wrong I was born to make right.

A MULTI-ETHNIC MISSION Meet Jairo Amaya, November 2022 Cohort
Before entering this program, for 17 years, I was a guy with many aspirations and dreams. I am Colombian, and I’ve always had a dream to impact my generation. The problem was that for 17 years, I always asked myself, “How can I do it?” “How can I create a plan for my dream?” When I finally got to the U.S., the dreams only accumulated. I finally found Generation Distinct. A program that helped me organize my dreams and find how to map my vision that God had given me. Thanks to Generation Distinct, my entire life changed. With this program, I have learned more than I could have ever imagined. With this program, I learned the wrong I was born to make right. My life has forever changed since starting. After finishing this program, I launched a non-profit organization, a 501(c)(3), created a program that is in schools in Latin America, in one year we are expecting 1,000 to have finished this program online which is completely free. This program helps the youth find their God given dreams. In 3 years we are aiming for 10,000 lives to be transformed. I have been invited to attend amazing conferences all over the world this year such as Costa Rica, Colombia, Miami, and in a couple weeks I’ll be going to Mexico. I want to personally thank Hannah for your heart and your vision for your generation and the ones to come. I want to thank you for impacting my life. Generation Distinct helped me launch my book, called Corazon Salvaje. It was made for young teens and adults, because everyone has a dream, they just need someone who will believe in them and help them get it off the ground. Before Generation Distinct, I was confused about my calling and I really didn’t believe in myself. And I also really didn’t have any of the resources that I really need to actually walk out my calling and do what God has really placed on my life and in my heart. Generation Distinct helped me actually believe in myself, become confident as a preacher. And now I actually get to do the same thing for other girls. Now, I’m spreading the gospel through evangelism, preaching, and living out ministry in my day to day life. I’m Olivia Guban and I’ve discovered the wrong I was born to make right.
