Adventure Camp 2026 – Glacier National Park, Montana Adventure Camp offered a dramati - cally different experience. One of the crown jewels of America’s national park system, Glacier National Park can be described as vast, breathtaking and inspiring! The Park was estab - lished in 1910 to preserve over one million acres of pristine wilderness. Today, more than 700 miles of trail in the park provides access to soaring peaks, abundant forests, lush moun- tain meadows, and numerous water- falls, lakes and streams. Twenty-three campers and staff spent five days in the backcountry of spec - tacular Glacier National Park, hiking separate routes in three groups. Each group carried its own food, cooking equipment, tents, water supplies, first-aid materials and personal gear. At least one day of each route in-
volved difficult hiking, testing every - one’s teamwork and perseverance. The group also traveled the Going-to- the-Sun Road, hiked to Hidden Lake and along the Trail of the Cedars, and saw mountain goats, bighorn sheep, deer, marmots, a mink and even a grizzly bear. After the backcountry portion, campers cleaned equipment and enjoyed whitewater rafting on an eight-mile stretch of the Flathead River. Each day we had a 30-minute Bible Study covering topics such as: “Wit- ness and Appreciate God’s Creation”, “What Can Be Accomplished If We Work Together is Amazing!’, “Too Often We Underestimate the Pow- er of Encouragement”, “Clear Your Mind of Can’t”, “Get Up, Get Go - ing, and Don’t Stop Until Your Goal is Reached!”, and “Don’t Forget to Give God Thanks.” These studies
■ helped prepare campers mentally and spiritually for each day’s challenges. Both camps provided memorable experiences while teaching valuable lessons. Whether through fellowship at Lone Star Camp or perseverance in Glacier’s mountains, campers had opportunities to grow, serve, encour- age one another and appreciate God’s magnificent creation. It was a sum - mer filled with blessings, friendships and experiences that will last a life- time.
