pillar of the community and current PHA Canada board member. Pulmonary hypertension is a rare, but very complex and serious lung disease. It is the result of high blood pressure affecting the lungs as a result of inflammation or scarring of the pulmonary arteries, which feed blood to the lungs so they can work. PH can lead to enlargement and weakness of the right-side of the heart, which can also lead to a serious risk of heart failure. One of the problems with PH is that it shares many symptoms with other medical conditions, so that people who suffer from PH without knowing it, may end up misdi- agnosed and not receive the treatment they need. Des ordinateurs seront disponibles pour réviser les documents et la cartographie existante, ainsi que la possibilité pour le public de répondre à un sondage en ligne. Le personnel de la Municipalité et de l’équipe de consultant seront disponibles pour répondre aux questions et obtenir des commentaires. La participation communautaire est une partie intégrale du processus de révision. pulmonary hypertension is about three years, and too often those people spend all that time trying to find out what’s wrong with them instead of getting the correct treatment as a result of a proper diagnosis. There is no cure yet for PH but there are effective treatments available and people with pulmonary hypertension, who get their condition diagnosed in time and get their correct treatment, are able to live longer, healthier, and happier lives. Funds raised during this Saturday eve- ning’s events will support PHA Canada, lo- cal patients, and the Ottawa PH stem cell research program. Notice of Public Open House Official Plan and Zoning By-law Update

The Township of Russell invites you to become engaged in planning for the Township’s future by providing input on the Township’s Draft Official Plan and Zoning By-law. These documents define permitted land uses and provide direction for the growth and development of the community. They are being reviewed as required by provincial law every five years. The Update affects the entire Township. Areas of focus include developing liveable and sustainable neighbourhoods, increasing opportunities for employment and industry, and updating the Official Plan and Zoning By-law based on the 2014 Provincial Policy Statement, and the United Counties of Prescott and Russell’s new Official Plan. Awaiting second transplant Aftermany weeks of tests, procedures and appointments at the hospital, Jonathan Pitre got the green light to proceed with the second stem cell transplant, after battling blood and lung infections back in February. “He has completely recovered from his infections and his body is as strong as can be”, said his mother, Tina Boileau.
