SEPTEMBER PROPHECY MESSAGE

.. group of messages on this subject is that we might realize the nearness of the Lord’s return — that it is, indeed, right at hand. There are some people in the world today, including so-called theologians, who try to tell us that society will ever improve. Others declare that when things have progressed socially then, the Lord Jesus Christ will come again — but for no other reason. Certainly evident moral, spiritual, and social problems or conditions upon earth to­ day should be enough to reveal the folly of such teaching. The Word of God is eminently clear and explicit concerning the fact. These signs on ev­ ery hand, dire and difficult, are going to become more and more prevalent and critical until Christ returns! The Apostle Peter, in accord with Paul, is moved by the Holy Spirit to declare, “The end of all things is at hand.” Jude, in his wonderful one chapter epistle has penned, “The Lord (Continued on next page)

A n elderly fanner was trying to repair the old grandfather’s clock. The heirloom had not been in order for some time and he felt he could adjust it. Finally, after he had done all that he felt necessary — with a piece or two left over — he retired for the night. Sleep did not come too quickly, how­ ever, and when the clock began to chime in the middle of the night, he was alarmed to hear it strike thirteen times. In great excitement he aroused his wife calling, “Ma, ma, wake up. It is later than I ever heer’d before!” Actually, this quaint story typifies the fact that it is much later than any of us realize. These are, indeed, climac­ tic and cataclysmic days in which we are living. The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come” (II Timothy 3:1). Now during September, we are go­ ing to look at the 19 specific and dif­ ferent signs given to the Church in II Timothy 3:1-5. The reason for this
