Woodford Manor Aged Care Autumn 2025 Newsletter

Community Happenings Autumn Our Wonderful Residents & Volunteers

Autumn was also a season to honour the passions and talents of our residents and volunteers. Betty, a beloved resident, shared her diamond art creations, using proceeds from sales to support our events—most notably donating a stunning Titanic print for our lucky door prize. Our Men’s Den stayed industrious, planning projects over hearty meals and engaging discussion. Meanwhile, volunteer Rosie and her pup continued their fortnightly visits, bringing smiles and furry cuddles with them. We also recognised the unwavering dedication of our incredible nurses during International Nurses Day. Our staff consistently go above and beyond, as was especially evident during the cyclone in March, when many stayed overnight to ensure residents' safety and comfort. We thank them all.

Engaging Activities and Community Spirit Residents enjoyed everything from sausage sizzles and satay feasts, to paper plane competitions, and a fun-filled internal State of Origin celebration; with Queensland claiming victory! Woodford Manor was bursting with energy and laughter during our highly anticipated “Minute-to-Win-It” games day a series of fast- paced, quirky challenges that had ping pong balls flying in every direction. From the moment the games began, the atmosphere was electric. Cheers, laughter, and playful banter echoed through the halls as everyone got involved either as a participant or a supportive spectator.
