BE PRESENT IN YOUR COMMUNITY – ATTEND COUNCIL MEETINGS Council Meetings are held in Council Chambers, 200 Broadway, 2nd Floor, Tillsonburg, on the second and fourth Monday of every month with a few minor exceptions. Council meetings begin at 6:00pm and the public is welcome to attend. Council agendas are posted on the Town website no later than 4:30pm on the Thursday prior to the meeting. Visit www.tillsonburg.ca to see the full calendar. The meeting calendar indicates Tillsonburg Council meetings as well as County Council meetings. We invite you to attend. VOLUNTEERS – WE NEED YOU! Become part of the municipal decision-making process as a volunteer on a Council Advisory Committee. Citizen-led committees provide valuable expertise, feedback and support in the development of municipal programs and policies as well as advice to Council on a variety of issues that are important to the local community. Appointments for committee members are four years to align with the term of council. There are currently (8) active Advisory Committees each with a unique area of interest. Cemetery by-laws, maps, pricing and genealogy information can be obtained by contacting the Cemetery office. By-laws and pricing are also available on the Town website at www.tillsonburg.ca CEMETERY FLOWER AND WREATH CAMPAIGN The Tillsonburg Cemetery is continuing its campaign to promote the beautification of our cemetery as well as decorating the memorials of your loved ones. The site(s) you choose to decorate will be adorned with a summer 12" mixed hanging basket and/or a fresh mixed greenery wreath. A hanger for the baskets and wreaths will be provided as well as care and maintenance. Decoration Day is held on the third Sunday in August.
