It was a unanimous decision to crown NextGen Electrical Ltd winners in this particular category. Judges commented on how delighted they were by this large-scale project and how the operation was extremely complex due to it being a live operation. NextGen Electricals’ target for this project was to reduce An Post’s carbon footprint nationwide by replacing all the existing lighting with new LED lighting. The contractor tried to reduce both the wattage per fitting and the number of fittings on each site to achieve the most energy efficient lighting while also maintaining appropriate LUX levels throughout.
A superb hat-trick victory for this electrical contractor who already scooped up two previous awards. The Sprezzatura Restaurant in Rathmines, Dublin excited the judges due to the meticulous care and attention given by the contractor on the historical building. The listed red-brick building was renovated to house the Italian restaurant in October 2020. Description of works included a complete electrical rewire to the restaurant with a high-end specification. From new cabling to an upgraded lighting and heating system, the entire work took three months to be completed. Many congratulations to South Dublin Electricians on another fantastic achievement.
