Esko, GlobalVision Launch Verify Comply BY GREG KISHBAUGH
FPA Launches Brand Owner Council
The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA), an advocate and voice of the U.S. flexible pack- aging industry, has formed a Brand Owner Council and welcomed its inaugural members: Kraft Heinz, PepsiCo, and Procter & Gamble. The council will bring together brand owners, converters, and suppliers to address shared challenges and advance innovation across the flexible packaging value chain. The Brand Owner Council is a new mem- bership category within FPA designed to give brand owners a direct voice in shaping the future of flexible packaging. The council will create opportunities for shared learning among brand owners, flexible packaging con- verters, suppliers, and policymakers on the issues that most directly impact packaging in- novation, sustainability, and business growth.
Esko and GlobalVision have introduced Verify Comply, a new AI-pow- ered compliance assistant designed to help brands and packaging teams review artwork, labels, and packaging against regulatory re- quirements and internal brand standards. Unveiled at PACK EXPO Chicago, the new solution is the first joint product from the two companies following the acquisition of Global- Vision earlier this year. By combining the technologies, Verify Comply enables packaging and labeling teams to move beyond manual, frag- mented compliance checks towards a more intelligent and consistent approach to artwork verification, according to the manufacturer.
The Brand Owner Council was established to strengthen engagement across the pack- aging value chain, giving industry leaders a platform to share insights, address emerg- ing challenges, and identify opportunities to advance the use and performance of flexible packaging. Key areas of focus include: • Helping to advance flexible packaging circularity, design innovation, and sustainabil- ity initiatives; • Supporting consumer education on the environmental benefits and circularity poten- tial of flexible packaging; • Integrating a collective brand owner per- spective to elevate and strengthen FPA’s ad- vocacy and public policy efforts.
Available both within the Esko WebCenter packaging management platform and as a standalone solution, Verify Comply combines intel- ligent document understanding with centralized, reusable compliance rulebooks, helping teams standardize reviews across products, mar- Centralized compliance rulebooks : Most advanced rulebook cre- ates a single source of truth for brand and regulatory requirements that can be applied consistently across products, markets, teams, and agency partners.
