2016 Men’s Spring & Summer ‘A’ Teams

WNHGO (Women’s 9 Hole) The Women’s 9 Hole Golf Organization welcomes all new and return- ing members to the 2016 season. The Spring Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, 15 March at ANCC Arlington. Sign-up sheets are in the ladies locker rooms at Arlington and Fairfax. Sign-ups will take place for the yearly events and activities at 11 AM and lunch will follow at 12. The deadline for luncheon sign-up is Tuesday, 8 March. At 10 AM, on Friday, 11 March, there will be a free Rules Clinic held at ANCC Arlington in the Williamsburg Room for all WNHGO members. Regular competitions are held in three handicap flights on Tuesday mornings at Fairfax and Friday mornings Arlington. The first day of regular play for the 2016 season will be Friday, 8 April at Arlington. The Spring Jamboree will be held 15 April at Arlington with a 9 AM shotgun start. Luncheon to follow. WGO-18 (Women’s 18-hole) Spring Sign-Up Luncheon is at Arlington on Friday, 1 April at 11:00 AM. Posters with details are on the WGO-18 bulletin boards in the Arlington and Fairfax locker rooms. Spring tune-up Clinics for WGO-18 members will be offered Wednesdays at Fairfax on March 30, April 6 and 13, time TBA and on Thursdays at Arlington on March 31, April 7, 14, 21 and 28, time TBA. Sign-up is in the pro shop for these clinics. Winter Golf, December through March, is now under way. Contact Barbara Drake at bdrake409@gmail.com for more information. The first play day for WGO-18 will be on Friday, 1 April at FFX. All league play will be from the RED tees at Arlington and Fairfax. Dues for full members are $55 per year which includes fees for ace days. Dues for Social members (non-golfers) are $15 per year. The directory, which includes a member roster, list of officers and chairs, schedule of events, and club information is provided to all members. For more information about WGO-18, click here . WGO 9 & 18 Mixer On Tuesday, 29 March, the golf staff is hosting a tournament at Fairfax for the members of the 9- and 18- hole Women’s Golf Organizations. The format will be a scramble with players from both the WNHGO and

For more information about ANCC ‘B’ Team, click here , or contact Steve Woolwine at stephen.m.woolwine@gmail.com . 2016 Men’s ‘B’ Team & Qualifying The ANCC Men’s “B” Team competition begins late April and is a great way to meet other ANCC members. The ‘B’ Team is open to all men with course handicaps ranging from 5 to 16. Matches are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays from late April thru July with playoffs going from August thru October. Tryouts will be held on 3 April at Fairfax, and on 9 April at in July. The two-day ‘A’ team tryout will be held on Saturday, 12 March and Sunday, 13 March at Fairfax. If you can play both days that would be great, but we recommend definitely playing one of the two days. At the completion of the two tryout rounds, the team roster for Spring 2016 will be set.
