NUGETS

■ Armed only with the Word of God, PTL evangelists have invaded Moslem territory in Africa. As recently as a decade ago, who would have dared to imagine that American missionaries could enter Moslem schools and tell students about Christ, stand in public squares and pro claim that there is only one God-and His name is not Allah, but Jesus Christ! We praise God for the marvelous opportunities the PTL Teams are having to reach such people for Christ. Your help is urgently needed now if this vital ministry is to continue. Alfred A. Kunz, International Director

Most Christians are like pianos . . . grand . . . square . . . upright . . . and are no good unless in tune with heaven. W A IT Wait on the Lord. Tho there is much we long for, He says, to rest, relax in Him, and wait, There’s naught eternal done by our own pushing. W e cannot hurry God! But we can wait, —And that is all He asks. Wait on the Lord. W e only burn our bearings When we grow hot, and let impatience rule; W e hinder Him, tho we would, never will to. W e long to help Him; but we pray, “ Dear Lord, I need to know, please, now.” Wait on the Lord. He never once has failed us, W e think sometimes, “He surely cannot know The dense and dark uncertainties beyond us.” His peace is NEW, for us to take each day! Look UP, and WA IT on Him. —Mother Mac (F. McQuat) The trouble with some of today's smart children is that they don't smart in the right places. ♦ * * * * THE CHIP AND THE BLOCK He's a "chip off the old block," The neighbors all say; He's a mouthful of questions, He's cheery and gay. He's a tired little body, When twilight begins, For his eye is quite blackened, And sore are his shins. As I watch him there sleeping, I pray God that I May be a "block" that's worthy. At least, I will try.
