Quarter Mile Lane School

New Jersey Schools Develop- ment Authority to accommo- date for significant K-8th grade enrollment increases over the past two years. At Quarter Mile Lane Ele- mentary School, DMR designed 91,000 s/f of new construction and 33,000 s/f of renovations to increase the school’s capacity by nearly 500 students. When completed, it will offer students a new three-story classroom wing gymnasium, a multi- purpose room and a cafeteria. The Buckshut em Road Elementary School project included 33,000 s/f of new construction and 7,000 s/f of renovations. Both facilities will seek LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council . Construction comple- tion is expected before the start of the 2017 – 2018 school year. n Jeff Barner joins R.A. Smith National , a multi-disciplined civil engineering and survey- ing firm, as an engineering project manager. His current responsibilities include pursu- ing new leads, fostering client relationships and expanding into the public sector.
