Extraordinary comes to mind when one gets to know more about Ronel Jooste. Chartered accountant, financial consultant, guesthouse owner, multi award- winning businesswoman and author of Financially Fit and Wealthy. “My dream was to find something in life where I could combine my passions, experience, qualifications and expertise to make an impact on the lives of others. Today I help people to live their best lives and businesses to become more successful,” says Ronel. After more than a decade in the corporate world as head of group financial reporting at one of the largest listed financial services groups, Ronel left the corporate world in 2015 to pursue her entrepreneurial aspirations, utilising her extensive experience in the banking, investment and insurance industries. “It was the hardest decision I ever had to make; stepping outside my comfort zone and embarking on a high-risk and challenging journey. On the other hand, the long working hours and pressurised working environment
I experienced in the corporate world had intensified over the years and was having a negative impact on my health, fitness, relationships and emotional wellbeing.” Today she lives a more balanced life. As an entrepreneur she still works hard, but now has the luxury of owning her time, which means health, happiness, time to exercise and spending quality time with her loved ones. “If we can reduce poverty in South Africa, we can reduce crime. If we can create jobs, we can strengthen the economy.
