And we’ll send Gospels on to the millions of
Spain who have no missionaries and no Bibles, but are shaking off centuries of darkness, and asking for the Light. JUST GIVE US THE Ull A Spanish evangelical minister told PTL that there are 3 million people in his province, but
there is no God.” In another place he states, “He [Jesus] took advan tage of people’s hospitality, fed upon their food, went fishing, walked, breathed the air, rode the best vehi cle He could achieve, lived it up among the drunkards, and maybe got drunk Himself.” And he sums up the whole matter by exclaiming, “ Jesus is the great atheist.” This, my dear friends, is the end result of doubt and unbelief, which has been allowed to creep into our churches. It appears now that it is too late to do anything about it. One wonders to what extent in dividuals can go in their diabolically blasphemous statements before a suf ficiently large segment of concerned Christians in any given denomina tion will rise up and demand a purg ing of the leaven of unbelief from their ranks. If there was ever a time when laymen should be heard in be half of the truths of the Gospel, now is that time. The most effective way that laymen can be heard is by their refusal to give one penny to their denominations. Numbers of congre gations who have unbelieving minis ters thrust upon them must band to gether and refuse to contribute to the salary of any such leader. There seems to be no other way that min isters and denominational leaders can get the message as quickly as by this method. Coupled with this is another most effective way, albeit generally speaking it is a much slower way, and that is to pray the pastor out of the pulpit. We must have men with God-given wisdom and God-given convictions who will stand on the truths of the Word of God and never allow unbelief to be preached from their pulpits.
