No, you would run and open the door, and ask me to come in. I wonder if th ere is a single boy or g irl in our class th a t has not let Jesus come into your h eart? L etting Jesus come into our hearts, ju st means th a t we know we are sinners and need Jesus to save- us and forgive our sins, and we ju st say to Jesus (and tru ly mean it in our h e a rts), “Yes, I w ant you to be my Saviour and forgive my sins, and guide and keep me each day.” (Teachers must m ake th is a personal affair w ith each child, seeing th a t they clearly understand ju s t what it means. Children of prim ary age are old enough to tak e Christ as a personal Saviour, and th e older Beginners.) Now our memory verse tells us what Zac cheus did, when Jesus spoke to him. Let us learn it. Notice, it says Zaccheus re ceived Jesus joyfully.

Now the people who took th e tax money from th e people, were often unkind and cruel, and had no pity on th e poor people, but took more money th an was right. Noth ing is said about th e dinner, b u t Zac cheus makes a wonderful speech. We remember he was a rich man, and now he is saying he wants to give half of his money to th e poor. W hat do you think has happened to Zaccheus? Yes, Earl, he has let Jesus come into his heart. It
