teachers’ strike. Although the Ontario Secon- dary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF/ FEESO) reported a tentative agreement, it still needs to be approved by its members before it can be put into effect. The Catholic District School Board of Eas- tern Ontario (CDSBEO) website states there are currently no plans to strike, however talks are ongoing. “We are continuing to monitor the province-wide education labour situation, and will post new developments to this loca- tion as soon as information is available. All kindergarten to grade 12 teachers at English Catholic school boards are represented by the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA). - See more at: http://www.cdsbeo. on.ca/students-parents/labour-situation- updates/#sthash.i6gwGjZO.dpuf”. The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) has reported that they will be heading back to the bargaining table on Sep- tember 1st with additional talks scheduled for September 4, just before the long weekend and the start of the new school year. At this point, teachers are talking about a strike action, which can range from a work-to-rule campaign, to a full withdrawal of services. This could include no afterschool clubs, no sports, no extracurricular activities, no notes home and more. Teachers have to put up with a lot to care for and teach Ontario’s future. Elementary and secondary teachers have beenwithout a collective agreement since last August.
