BUILT AMERICA MAGAZINE | MARCH 2025

In the heart of Atlanta, where contemporary design meets innovative craftsmanship, Theory Homes has emerged as a leader in luxury residential construction. At the helm of this transformative brand is Peter MacMaster, a builder whose journey into the world of construction was shaped long before he ever laid the foundation of a million-dollar home. His story is one of passion, heritage, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. A Legacy Built with His Own Hands Peter MacMaster’s earliest lessons in craftsmanship came from his father. Long before he dreamed of luxury builds and modern aesthetics, he was a boy 52

learning to fix cars and repair homes under the guidance of his dad.

“My father taught me everything about working with my hands,” MacMaster recalls. “We fixed our own cars, remodeled houses, and tackled projects that most people would call in a contractor for. Those experiences weren’t just about learning how to build—they were about learning to solve problems, think creatively, and appreciate the value of hard work.” That hands-on upbringing instilled in him a deep passion for transforming spaces. When he bought and remodeled his first home, the feeling of taking something old, tired, and worn and turning it into something beautiful was exhilarating. “I’ve always loved fixing ugly things and making them pretty,” he says. “The transformation—it’s fun to me.”
