Honorable John L Badalamenti, speak at a live meeting in the new year. So, stay tuned, thank you for your patience, and if you have any burning desires for possible topics, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Executive Council Treasurer by Edward Larsen

asked. As the Treasurer I assure you that each dollar received by the CCBA and CCBF from you has been and always will be accounted for and spent wisely. Executive Council President-Elect by Andrew Reiss Despite the unprecedented challenges facing our

I am honored to serve as the Treasurer of the Collier County Bar Association (CCBA) and the Collier County Bar Foundation (CCBF) for the year 2020-2021. Working with our Executive Director, Lisa Terwilliger, I am tasked with providing financial oversight for both organizations, acting as a liaison with the financial institutions where we maintain our bank accounts, and reporting to the Board

community as a result of the ongoing pandemic, I look forward to serving you as your President-Elect of the Collier County Bar Association for the 2020-2021 season. I will also serve as the President of the Collier County Bar Foundation during that term. The Bar Association and the Bar Foundation are dedicated

of Directors regarding the financial status of both organizations. I am also responsible for reviewing and monitoring the financial reports of the various sections of the CCBA. During this period of uncertainty due to the Covid-19 one hundred year pandemic, it is important to focus not only on the health of our members but also the welfare of our Bar Association and Foundation. Our Bar Association depends on the goodwill of our members who pay their dues, sponsor our programs, and participate in our activities. Unfortunately, the Bar’s ability to provide its traditional level of services and outreach will be a challenge during this pandemic that I am sure will be met. In addition to dues our Association also derives income from members joining our Legal Referral Service (LRS), advertising in our journal, and being sponsors. That is why I urge each member to renew their membership for the upcoming year. I also encourage all members so inclined to join the LRS, advertise in the Adverse Witness, and consider being sponsors of either the Bar Association and / or the Foundation. Your fees and contributions in this respect will go quite a distance in permitting the Bar Association and Foundation to continue to serve our members and provide the outreach to the residents of Collier County for which we have become so well known. Finally, I would be remiss if I did sincerely thank our members, affiliates, sponsors, and advertisers who pay their dues, sponsor our Bar and Foundation, advertise in the Adverse Witness, and contribute their time whenever

to continuing to provide events and programming for the Collier County legal community no matter the current challenges. The CCBA will continue with presentation of interesting speakers, although the format of events may be different, at least in the short term. We believe the alternative formats will give us the opportunity to present topics and speakers beyond those available to us previously. Our members have expressed interest in returning to live events as soon as possible, and the CCBA is making every effort to do so as soon as suitable venues are available and appropriate precautions can be put in place. The Bar Foundation is also making every effort to continue hosting exciting events that benefit worthy causes in our community, although we already know the event schedule will be somewhat different. The Bar Association and the Bar Foundation need your support more than ever at this time, and I hope that everyone can make an extra effort to be involved in events this year. Given the current uncertainty, we welcome suggestions or ideas for CCBA and CCBF programs even more than we usually do, and you are always welcome to contact me at areiss@bsk.com or 239-659-3800
