Learning objective:
The participants can take responsibility for correct selection and usage of lifting bag types (Ability, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Explain the importance of utilising the lifting bags according to intended use and limitations
Demonstrate how to use a lifting bag including how to check it, store it, fill it, and attach it to the hook and/or sling Demonstrate how to pack and hook single and multiple lifting bags to different hook and sling types while emphasising the equipment limitations
Provide feedback to participants on relevant practice activities
Participants shall:
Practice the ability to select, correctly check, store, fill and attach lifting bags to hook and sling
Discuss what can go wrong if failing to adhere to equipment limitations and intended use
Receive feedback constructively
LOAD ATTACHMENT POINT TYPES
Learning objective:
The participants can take responsibility for correct selection and usage of load attachment point types (Ability, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Explain the hazards and risks when working with load attachment points
Explain the different types of load attachment including equipment characteristics and usage
Explain specific lifting points like:
a) eyebolts and eye nuts,
b) trunnions,
c) camlocks and container lugs,
d) permanent lifting lugs,
Demonstrate the use of load attachment points covering the ones mentioned in this element
