LEGAL INJURY GUIDE

327 Bankhead Hwy, Carrollton, GA 30117 WORKERS’ COMPENSATION | PERSONAL INJURY | SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY

Kethy appreciates the diverse and inclusive environment that the founders of Smith, Wallis and Scott have cultivated. “The majority of us are Latinos. I love that,” Kethy says. “We’re like a small family here. We worry about each other and make sure we support each other.” When it comes to her team, Kethy has affectionate words for each member and points out how they all add to the culture of strength and compassion. “Jane, our paralegal, has been in the legal field for over 20 years; she has so much knowledge and experience. Isabel, who recently made partner, is super sweet. She looks like a young girl, but she’s a tiger when she fights for our clients. Chris is a gentle giant. He’s soft-spoken, but he’s never shy when fighting for our clients,” Kethy says. Kethy enjoys helping our clients get the treatment and services they need. “I feel good that I’ve helped. I try to look at the big picture,” she says, noting the way the firm provides support on a broader scale. “We reach out to the community to let people know we are here to help,” Kethy says. At home, it’s all about time with her husband and kids. “My daughter, Mia, is really into dance and plays. She just finished performing in ‘Grease,’” Kethy says of her 14-year-old. “I wanted to see every show, of course.” Kethy attended the first show as a patron, then volunteered as an usher to watch Mia’s second performance. Kethy’s son, Noah, is 10 and into “anything you can think of boy related,” Kethy says. On quieter days, Kethy and her family enjoy getting outside and discovering new places to hike. She also loves dancing and getting the whole family together to spend time with her parents. BEING AVOICE FOR THE UNDERREPRESENTED How Kethy Uses Her Skills to Help Our Clients

People come to us during very challenging times in their lives. They have suffered physical, mental, or emotional hardships due to the action — or inaction — of another person. It’s during these hard times that our team steps up and acts as a voice for our clients. Our personal injury team is passionate, caring, and courageous, and our administrative assistant, Kethy, is no exception. Kethy helps clients connect with professionals to get the treatment they need and follows up with them and their insurance companies to ensure the process goes smoothly. She comes from a background in insurance sales, which gives her a unique perspective in the personal injury field. Her perspective has given her valuable insight into what our clients experience and the hoops they have to go through with insurance companies. When she first met the team at Smith, Wallis, and Scott, she found it was a natural fit. “I liked their values and mission statement,” Kethy says. In addition to her background, Kethy’s desire to be a voice for underrepresented people made Smith, Wallis and Scott the perfect fit. “I really wanted to use my bilingual skills, and the firm has a lot of Spanish speaking clients,” Kethy says. “Anytime I can be an advocate for them, I’m there.”

We’re so grateful for what Kethy brings to our personal injury team, and we look forward to helping people in our community get the help they need.
