What I did: For the first month and a half, I implemented as well as learned a new credit analysis software for preparing/ analyzing loans. I also helped the credit department catch up on document indexing, setting up new account notes, spreading financials, and attended commercial loan meetings. What I liked: I enjoyed having a bit of flexibility in schedule making it easy when scheduling lunches as well as having my own desk where I was able to work and have more space. I also liked the process for building proposed loans as the new software handled the majority of the financial calculations with near perfect accuracy. The software also gave out definitions and in-depth analysis of different financial calculations making it much easier to interpret numbers, definitions, ratios, and parameters. This helped give me peace of mind and confidence in knowing what I am doing even though I had no previous credit analysis experience. Future Dream Job: My dream job would be to either continue my financial journey towards becoming a commercial lender and eventually bank president or work as a real estate agent either for myself or a brokerage company that would have an interest in infrastructure development and re-development.
