ORGANIZATION EAA Experimental Aircraft Association Oshkosh, Wis. TITLE Convention Administration
What I did: The beginning of the summer leading up to the convention was mainly supply fulfillment, pre-recording convention data, issuing camping credentials and processing credit/check transactions. Then going into the convention I supported the 5,000 volunteers by fulfilling whatever request they needed whether it was wristbands, parking passes, or even just my knowledge about the grounds. I also learned how to balance finances for many different areas of the organization. What I liked: I enjoyed meeting people from around the world as EAA had 650,000 people attend with people from 92 different countries. This led me to so many connections with people for future jobs after graduation from all over. I also got tips from Delta Air Lines during the convention about applying for an internship with things to add to my resume that Delta targets and working up into the company. I really liked that I got to see more behind the organization as I realized doing business in aviation is something I have a passion for. Future Dream Job: My dream job would be to work in the administrative side for Delta Air Lines.
