SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS?

ally, religiously and socially. Since one world will not convert the people of our earth to Christianity, it will convert the people of our earth to something else besides Christianity. There is another surprise which will be discovered when it is at last too late. That coming world govern ment made up of the nations of the earth will be energized not by God but by the devil, not by Christ but by antichrist, not by co-operation of the true church but by a false religious system, of which we read in the Scriptures. See Revelation 17 and 18. What Shall We Do About It? God’s people should face the ques tion: What shall we do about these things? We have four suggestions: 1. Believers will admit that we have no solution. Man has had his day; now we wait for the Day of the Lord. 2. Believers should rejoice that we know the God who works all things after the counsel of His own will, who has seen fit to give us great pro phetic truths. 3. We should rejoice that we know the God who is now calling out from the nations of the earth a people for His name. Every soul brought to Christ in this age surely brings us closer to that great day when the church, having been completed, will be called into the presence of our risen Lord. 4. Therefore, this is the day to work, for the night cometh when no man can work. We need church evan gelism, personal evangelism, educa tional evangelism, mass evangelism, and any other kind of evangelism which we may instigate for the pur pose of calling out that people for His name. (Acts 15:14.) We are in a cause which cannot be lost. God’s Word has promised that the darker the world situation ap pears to get, the nearer we are to the dawn, and the brighter shines that blessed hope.

Psa. 119:89

"For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven."

It is the lack of knowledge of the premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ which keeps men today in blindness as to God’s solution for the world problems. Not knowing that our Lord will certainly be King, men are looking to another world govern ment (and king) to solve the prob lems of the race. The world govern ment immediately ahead of us will be godless, and infinitely disappoint ing. Believers are seeing, so far as the world’s ability to solve problems is concerned, that we have arrived at the place where there is no way out (perplexity, Luke 21:25). We have

come to the time when there is no deliverance except through a return ing Christ; but what more could we p o s s i b l y desire? When the King comes He will rid the world of all godless government and take up the reins of universal sovereignty as King of kings to rule in righteousness. “Even so, come Lord Jesus” (Revela tion 22:20).
