just spectators in this great drama of preaching the gospel to every creature? Do you say, I haven’t been called? Or haven’t you heard the call? His call is to all of His followers in every place and time until that last moment when the day of grace shall come to an end. The Bible tells us over and over again that we are His teachers, preachers, witnesses, dis ciples and ambassadors. Many believers are of the opinion that the call is for some one else who is especially gifted. Is it? No, it is specifically to those to whom He has spoken peace; those who have received Him into their hearts as Lord and Saviour. Each one of us has his own little world of people whom he knows and with whom he converses. No other Christian may have access to the friendship or even acquain tance of some of these people. Did you talk to some of them today? Did the good word you said for your Lord stir in them a longing for an acquaintance with the great burden bearer and wonderful Friend? In every human heart there is deep need which can only be satisfied by our gra cious Lord. Your word of witness may be the first suggestion of the answer to his need. Today the call is urgent. But you may say, I am not prepared. If you answer His call and become available, He will pro vide the preparation. The one who calls you is your Lord. He has called you through His Word and promises you the strength, the wisdom and the courage to respond. “Let Him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” (James 5:20) EDITORIAL NOTE: Air.
