They caged the Cougars and crowned the Vikings. The Rockland Nationals enjoyed nothing but treats over their Halloween weekend. The Nats shut out the Vankleek Hill Cougars 2-0 in Saturday night’s road game with Jeff Gottzman and Steven Savage firing the puck into the Cougars net. Goal assists for the Rockland points came from Gottzman, Éric Leduc, David Pulford, and Tyler Ward. Sunday night at home in the CIHA Arena, the Nats clobbered the Papineauville Vikings 9-2 with a hat trick for Philippe Béland, a pair of goals for Martin Desouza, and singles by Dylan Armitage, Carl Hupé, Tyler O’Brien, and David Pulford. Goal assist came from Béland, Gottzman, Leduc, Ward, O’Brien, Charlie Foster, Taylor Lafferty, Steve Masterson, and Luc Prieur. Friday night the Nats are in Embrun against the Panthers. Sunday afternoon they host the Predators from La Pêche. Lightning strikes at academy vision@eap.on.ca Rockland Both rinks at the hockey academy are full up this weekend.. The Clarence-Rockland Girls Hockey Association Lightning host their annual tournament with three days of action starting Friday afternoon..
