SCL CEIAG Policy 23-24

Linking curriculum learning to careers SCL Group aim to actively connect curriculum learning with real-world careers, highlighting the relevance and application of skills and knowledge acquired through our programmes. This will be achieved through incorporating visits, work experience opportunities, and guest speakers into our curriculum to provide learners with first-hand experiences of various career pathways, learning how to be more effective workers within, a wide range of careers. Encounters with employers and employees SCL Group will facilitate meaningful encounters between learners and employers, as well as employees from different sectors. Through networking events, workshops, and mentoring programmes, learners will have the opportunity to engage with professionals, gain insights into different industries, and develop their understanding of the world of work and what it takes to be successful in the workplace. Experiences of workplaces SCL Group strive to provide learners with meaningful experiences of the workplace, including work shadowing, work experience, and volunteering opportunities. These experiences will enable learners to develop essential employability skills, gain exposure to different work environments, expand their networks and make informed decisions about their future career paths.
