SEPTEMBER JTNZ VOL.III | BAM SOUTH

A typical day at Wild Abundance begins with birdsong, mountain mist, and coffee in the open-air timber-frame kitchen. Students gather under the sweeping beams of the pavilion, gazing out at the ridges as instructors outline the day. They break into small groups to master the basics: hammering nails straight, sawing boards square, measuring twice. By afternoon, they’re building group projects - picnic tables, sawhorses - that will either serve the campus or the local community. “There’s so much cheering,” Gaia laughs. “You do something for the first time, and everyone around you celebrates. That feeling can’t really be spoken to. It’s what people carry home.” A Day in the Life
