efficient. Then you can have a more strategic role that can be more valuable to the business. Many in payroll will go into leadership. I see different roles developing for payroll. Specialists, particularly on the technology side, are needed. I think there is a new field opening up for those who can bridge the language gap between either HR and payroll or payroll and IT to help resolve the common lack of understanding between these teams. There will be a need to have someone who can translate the development language into normal payroll language and the other way around, such as country specifics that IT developers need to act on. And something in payroll that we would never be able to completely change is that many stakeholders, even though they know exactly when they have to provide information, often fail to do so. Payroll will always have to chase after and remind those people of the deadlines. Payroll will always be very structured, and I love that. You have to deliver. I love trying to get the best out of payroll for the employee.
