Abington-Ambler (PA) Alumni Chapter's Krimson Foundation Supports Guide Right, Honors Youth During Annual Program O n Saturday June 30, 2018, the Abington-Ambler (PA) Alumni Chapter held its inaugural Guide Right the lives of young boys (ages 6 through 13) by providing them early exposure to applied science, exercises in math, and computer technology.

Awards Program and Fundraiser through the Krimson Foundation, the 501(c)(3) tax exempt arm of the chapter, at the Laguna Beach Bar and Grill located at 1400 Ocean Avenue, Brigantine, NJ. The celebration featured the youth enrichment program accomplishments for the year as well as to recognize the Foundation’s sponsors that have contrib- uted to the Krimson Foundation over the last three years. With executives representing a diverse range of Fortune 500 companies as well as Philadelphia/New Jersey/New York area dignitaries in attendance, six donors were recognized for their support includ- ing AXA Advisors and Wolfinger Foren- sics who have been sponsors since 2013. More than 300 people attended this inaugural event. Over $15,000 was raised with more than 60 Guide Right participants receiving awards. Ed Davies (Abington-Ambler (PA) Alumni 2009) was presented with the Northeastern Province Bert Watkins Award for the 2017-2018 Outstanding Guide Right Director. The Abington-Ambler (PA) Alumni Chapter was chartered on October 22, 2005 and in late 2009, the Krimson Foundation Inc. was established. Pri- marily serving the Eastern Montgomery County Pennsylvania community, the Krimson Foundation’s Guide Right Pro- gram consists of four distinct programs: Kappa Akademy: The Kappa Akademy is a program developed in response to a na- tionwide study that determined Ameri- can Youth were woefully ill prepared for future careers in the fields of science and technology. The program seeks to provoke interest in these areas early in

Kappa League: The Kappa Leadership & Development League is a program designed to aid young men of high school age grow and develop their lead- ership talents in every phase of human endeavor. Kappa League provides both challenging and rewarding experiences to enhance their lives. Kappa Diamond Dashers National Track Klub: The Abington Ambler Alumni Chapter sponsors and coaches a track and field team for boys and girls rang- ing from 5 to 18 years of age. The team competes amongst the best talent in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. The team, named Kappa Dia- mond Dashers is coached by fraternity members from the Chapter. Kappa Kickers Chess Klub: The program is part instructional and part actual play where the students challenge each other honing their chess skills while receiving tips on everything from fundamentals to strategy. The purpose of the program is to evoke critical thinking and concentra- tion while hopefully promoting a lifelong interest in the game of chess.
