Kizart Appointed to FCC Advisory Committee

J oshua Humbert (Epsilon Zeta Fall 2001) is a philanthropic strategist with twenty years of demonstrated results and experience in the non- profit sector. He is a subject matter expert on factors that affect philanthropy such as giving, social capital, economic empowerment and socioeconomic poli- cies that shape national trends and your philanthropy. He previously served as the Vice Presi- dent for the National Urban League, the nation’s largest historic civil rights and urban advocacy institution. He was responsible for supporting the organiza- tion’s advancement of major gifts and strategic partnerships to help ensure that each year this $400 million enter- prise-wide Movement serves over 2 mil- lion people across 90 affiliates located throughout 37 states. Brother Humbert is one of only seven African-American males to hold a Mas- ter’s Degree in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University and certified advisor in philanthropy (CAP). He is a proud HBCU graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Norfolk State University. Currently Brother Humbert works with networks of corporate leaders around the world – including philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, celebrities and civil society leaders – helping them connect to their philanthropic purpose, build social capital, and develop their per- sonal and professional goals. S herman K. Kizart (Lambda Pi 1984), Managing Director and Founder of Kizart Media Partners, Inc. (KMP), has been appointed to a two-year term on the Federal Communications Commission’s Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment (ACDDE). Kizart is respected for his leadership as an urban sales and marketing expert to some of the leading advocacy organiza- tions in the U.S. Prior to founding KMP he worked for Interep, Inc. as Senior

Vice President and Director of Urban Sales. Now in its 17 th year, KMP hosts the Power of Urban Radio Forum in partnership with the National Associa- tion of Black Owned Broadcasters in Washington DC annually. Kizart has received many awards and honors for his industry experience, including the Radio Wayne Award. He is a graduate of the University of Missis- sippi, and is Director of Development for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
