East Central Province: “Serving the Kommunity”
The East Central Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated participated in a Province wide community service day. In the 4 cities of Akron, Ohio, Cincinnati/Dayton, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Morgantown, West Virginia; Brothers from close to 15 different chapters partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for families in need. The day began around 9 a.m. and lasted until after 4 p.m., and it included the near 70 Brothers painting the inside of a home, putting the roof on a home, hammering in drywall, or simply nailing in the final touches of the house. A great time was had by all, as Brothers got a chance to fellowship, team build, eat lunch together, and get to know some Brothers that they may not have known too well. This initiative is one the East Central Province will continue for years to come; as planning for next year’s community service project has already begun!
