Juicy and light to medium-bodied reds like this one, are perfect partners for charcuterie boards of all shapes and sizes. Tart, but dry, this sangiovese screams red fruits – cranberries, raspberries and cherries. Perfect red for those on a budget. Grab a package of prosciutto and you are on your way!

Sauvignon blanc is known for its high level of mouth-watering acidity, making it an ideal accompaniment to the rich, salty components found on most charcuterie boards. This wine has aromas and flavours of gooseberry, grapefruit and green apple. Make sure to include a little goat’s milk cheese on your board, as it is a classic pairing with the vast majority of sauvignon blancs.

This juicy red wine from Rioja features the tempranillo grape and would be great served alongside Spanish meats, like Iberico, Serrano ham and chorizo. You can find the famous Spanish sheep’s milk cheese – Manchego at many local grocery stores. It is a great example of a “what grows together goes together” pairing! Umani Ronchi Jorio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC · $ 21 .45 750 ml • Sku 15102 • Italy 8 This montepulciano, from the Abruzzo region in central Italy, is a top-selling wine in Newfoundland & Labrador. Stick to the hard cheeses that are high in protein, especially favourites like Parmigiano Reggiano, Asiago and the Pecorinos. In terms of the meats, look for Italian delights, such as Salami and Prosciutto di Parma.

This dry sparkling wine from the Veneto in Italy smells and tastes amazing. Classic green (apple and pear) and citric (grapefruit and lemon) fruits dominate, with a distinct note of minerality running through it. This wine checks all the charcuterie pairings boxes as it is light, fresh and high in acidity. A real crowd-pleaser!

This dry, full, rich sparkler has dual mouth-cleansing characteristics: huge acidity and a lovely effervescence. There is not a cheese or meat that this wine would not happily wash down.
