King's Business - 1964-04

Can Christian Young people Get Into Real Trouble? What happens when two Christian young people are enmeshed in the snare of Satan while becoming too familiar on a graduation date? What are the causes for early teen age marriages? In next month's issue of THE KING'S BUSINESS, Dr. Don Hillis writes a penetrating and challenging article, "Modestly Yours." Concerning it he has suggested, "I am real concerned about some of the things that are taking place amongst our Christian young people. We find that here in the Mid-west our Evan gelical churches are sponsoring all- night p a r t i e s 'in place of the prom.' This to me is ridiculous. I certainly feel that a church ought to be able to end the party by midnight and that parents ought to be able to tell their children they are to be home within a relatively short period after that. Apparently some parents are afraid of their children. "I do trust the article will open the eyes of Christian parents to the un fair and dangerous situation in which they place their children when they allow their daughters to run around half dressed." Read, "Modestly Yours," n e x t month in THE KING'S BUSINESS. For extra copies, be sure to place your order now at the low preview rate of five for $1.00. Prescription (concluded) I said, ‘Yes.’ ‘Well,’ he said, ‘are you a Christian?’ I just started to say over again that sometimes I was afraid I was not, when the only time in all the years I knew him, and loved him, he was sharp with me. He turned on me with eyes flashing and said, ‘See here, whom are you doubting?’ Then I saw it for the first time, that when I was afraid I was not a Christian I was doubting God’s Word. I read it again with my eyes over flowing with tears. Since that day I have had many sorrows and many joys, but never have I doubted for a moment that I was a Christian, because God said it. Now what I ask you to do is to plant your feet upon this promise, and say ‘Yes, from this moment I know I am a Christian.’ Verily, Verily, I say unto you. He that heareth M y word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting Life, and shall not come into condem nation.; but is passed from death unto Life — John 5:24.
