TIRE PRESSURE
To help ensure safe and dependable operation of this vehicle, proper maintenance is required. Maintain tire air pressure, wheel bolt torque, wheel bearings and brake components. Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems operated off-highway or in severe service applications can require additional maintenance. Tire and wheel servicing can be dangerous and must be done only by trained personnel using proper tools and procedures.

FIFTH WHEEL PLATE
Use of excessively worn, bent, or damaged kingpins - or kingpins which are of improper height - is dangerous since strength and the FIFTH WHEEL PLATE FASTENERS MUST BE KEPT TIGHT. Use properly torqued 1/2” diameter, Grade-8 bolts and nuts with hardened washers. Contact the Beall factory of origin for the correct replacement fasteners. Do not reuse fasteners once removed.

When servicing a trailer, steps should be taken to prevent the trailer from being moved or operated during the maintenance procedure. If the trailer is unloaded, remove the tractor from the trailer. If you have product in the hopper, remove ALL of the air. Disconnect the electrical supply lines. You may leave the trailer attached to the tractor at the kingpin plate. Remove the keys from the tractor and place signs on the gladhands and electrical sockets saying "Danger, Do Not Operate." If your trailer is equipped with a vibrator, you must also exhaust the air from the air cylinder near the vibrator.
