Council Council is the governing body of the University. The role works with, and advises, members of Council, the committees of Council and the University executive on all matters relating to the Estates and Campus Services. Company Boards A number of commercial operations in the Campus Services portfolio are overseen by board structures for Retail/Catering, Residences and Conferencing. The Director of Campus Services is a board member representing the Estates and Campus Services team alongside the Director of Finance and other Directors. External External relationships are an increasing important element of the role, particularly in relation to the NHS, City Council and Mayor, and the wider HE and property networks.

Key Relationships:

The Director of Estates and Campus Services will work closely and collaboratively with fellow Directors and ensure a two-way exchange of information and business intelligence in support of the achievement of shared projects and business objectives. Internal and external relationships include: President and Vice-Chancellor The post interacts frequently with the President and Vice-Chancellor, particularly in relation to campus and capital planning, and the development of new University initiatives. Registrar & Chief Operating Officer (COO) The Registrar is secretary to Council and leads the University’s Professional Services; the role reports to the Registrar and COO. Provost The Provost leads on planning and resources; the Director and their team will work closely with the Provost on resource allocation and capital planning.
