S P O R T S NATS WIN TWO ON THE ROAD AND LOSE ONE ON HOME ICE

Two wins on the road and one loss at home was how the Rockland Nationals’ latest three games in the Central Canada Hockey League finished. The Nats cut down the Lumber Kings 5-2 in Pembroke November 20. Pembroke got the first goal in the first minute of the game from Jacob Shankar, with assists by Fletcher Anderson and Liam Enright. Rockland took over the scoring with assistant captain Jack Sullivan answering Pembroke’s first-period goal about thirty seconds after it went in the net. Helping out Sullivan were his fellow assistant captain Cole Craft and Cameron Last. Second-period scoring for Rockland was courtesy of Andrew Aboumossa, assisted by Joe Jordan and Justin Dauphinais, and Nats captain Matthew Vermaeten, assisted by Cameron Pound and Gunnar Smith. The Lumber Kings got in one last point with a shot by Anthony Urbisci, in the first three minutes of third period. Assisting were Olivier Charest and Joshua Maine. Finishing up the Rockland score were Vermaeten, assisted by Dean Taylor, and Last, with help from Sullivan and Smith. Last Friday in Kemptville, the Nats beat the 73s 5-2 with Rockland ruling first period through a pair of goals by Simon Labelle and one from Cole Craft. Assisting Labelle

Last finished the Rockland score with a power-play goal midway through third period, assisted by Cameron Pound and Noah Doyle. Saturday night, at home, was not a good time for the Nats with a 5-1 loss to the Car- leton Place Canadians. Scoring unanswered goals in first period for the Canadians were Jake Code, assisted by Steven Townley, Caleb Kean, from Brett Thorne and Elliott McDer- mott, and David Gagnon, from McDermott and Ryan Bonfield. Pound scored Rockland’s goal early in

second period, with help from Doyle and Labelle. Gagnon extended the Canadians’ lead 10 minutes later with an unassisted goal, and then Townley finished the scoring about a minute later with help from Kean and Ayo Adeniye. Third period saw no goals from either team. The Nats are in Nepean November 27, then return home November 29 to host Cornwall. They are in Ottawa the following day against the junior Senators.
