VOLUNTEERS
A Friend to Interlochen, from Flowers to the Front Desk
Tom Berg (ICA St 23-26) is a friend to Interlochen in seemingly every way he can find.
The leader of the concert-support subset of our Green Vest Volunteers, Tom has logged nearly 1,200 hours of volunteer time at Interlochen. He’s ushered at summer festival performances, planted flowers, helped decorate for the holidays, given tours of campus, manned our information booth and the front desk of the Dennison Center, and helped register new students at Camp, among other duties. All told, he’s volunteered more than 100 times since 2018—and worked for the past few years as a part-time box office employee within patron services. Tom has also given of both time and treasure to Interlochen Public Radio. He is a regular listener of both IPR News and Classical IPR and has donated multiple times to the station. He’s also a former member of the IPR Community Advisory Council. As is the case for so many in our community, one positive experience at Interlochen sparks more. Art-lovers and volunteers like Tom find themselves eager to return—and eager to help inspire others in the process, often in any and every way they can.
Many thanks to our fabulous volunteers! Interlochen is enriched by your dedication, enthusiasm, and tireless, multifaceted efforts to support our mission.
