Pearson English International Certificate (formerly PTE General) is a prestigious English language test that proves learners’ English language ability at any level.
The test reflects the type of language that learners will encounter in English speaking environments , using activities that students are familiar with from their classes. It integrates all four skills (Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing) and focuses on assessing the ability to communicate in English , rather than just test-taking skills.
• Accepted by ACLES ( Asociación de Centros de Lenguas en la Enseñanza Superior ) and by regional education authorities across Spain . • Awarded by Edexcel , the UK’s largest awarder of academic and vocational qualifications and accredited by Ofqual , the official regulator. • Consists of two parts : a written paper - testing writing, reading and listening skills - and an individual speaking test interview with an interlocutor. • There is no separate grammar section. Use of grammar is taken into account when grading.
