Fort Ritchie: Ritchie Boys and Revival An immersive walking tour guided by the Director of the Ritchie History Museum. Learn the rich history of the secret military property nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and its importance during WWII and into the 20th Century. Class will meet at the Ritchie History Museum at 9:00am and walk approximately one mile around the historic district. Course limited to 12 stu- dents to ensure personalized instruction. Boston and the Coming Of the American Revolution, 1765 - 1775 LLI This program details England’s problems and solu- tions to govern its colonies following the culmination of the 4 French & Indian wars, 1689-1763. Major program topics include: (1) Britain’s taxation & gov- ernmental efforts (2) Massachusetts reactions, coor- dinated by Boston’s Samuel Adams (3) Myths & reality of “Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride” (4) Britain’s military efforts against Massachusetts and the colony’s re- sistance at Lexington & Concord (5) New England’s Army of Observation: seeds of the Continental Army.
