Healthy Habits 101 LLI Your health is your wealth. Learn how your nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, and mindset affect your health, weight, and life. Regain flexibility and strength in this class designed around patterns of easy exercise that will improve range of motion, muscle strength, and endurance. This class begins with a warm-up followed by strength training, core muscle exercises, low-impact aerobics, cool down, and guided meditation. Light hand weights and resistance bands are used but are not required. Instructor-guided exercises can be done at your own pace, seated or standing. Beginning T’ai Chi (easy T’ai Chi Primer Form)

This beginning T’ai Chi Ch’uan course is explicitly de- signed for novice and senior students wanting to learn and practice a version of this holistic exercise that promotes health, improves balance, and enhances mind-body awareness. Beginning T’ai Chi provides the participant an opportunity to return to the same class or use the lessons as a foundation to continue the study of T’ai Chi at an intermediate or advanced level. Wear comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes. Exclusions apply to pregnant women and those with moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis. Total: $89 MBP-072-C W 6:30–7:30pm Sep 13–Nov 15 P. Intermediate T’ai Chi (Authentic Northern Wu Style)

This course features the authentic Northern Wu style T’ai Chi Ch’uan, designed for students continuing their study from the beginning T’ai Chi course and for those who are ready from the start to experience a more challenging method of T’ai Chi Ch’uan practice. Step- by-step instructions are given in the movements and principles of the 37 posture Wu style T’ai Chi form. No previous experience with T’ai Chi is required if you are in good health and feel ready to begin your T’ai Chi experience at an intermediate level. Wear comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes.
