Is Your Balance Setting You Up For An Injury? You can avoid a painful fall and possible surgery with easy physical therapy to strengthen your balance. How is your balance? Have you checked it lately? Poor balance and coordination is the number one cause of trips, falls, and injuries. It even greatly affects back pain and posture. You don’t have to be old to have non-optimum balance. In fact, a majority of sports injuries are attributed to not having the right balance reflexes needed to adapt to the surface, causing sprains, strains and other injuries. Our balance and vestibular system gives us the ability to walk on two legs, run and be active. Our balance and vestibular system develop as we grow from a baby all the way through adulthood, and then begins to decline. Most people don’t know their balance is not optimum until they suffer a sports injury, trip and fall, or lose their balance in the shower. No matter what your age, balance affects your ability to be active. NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR BALANCE AND PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST PAINFUL INJURIES.

Brownsville Back To Action Brownsville joined the local community during the event “Walk To End Alzheimer’s” to support the Alzheimer’s Organization in its fight against Alzheimer’s Disease on the 5th of November 2016. On the 17th of November, the staff of Back To Action volunteered to help serve during the Thanksgiving Dinner for the residents Practice News

Eagle Pass BTA Eagle Pass had a very exciting and busy month. We kicked off the month by sponsoring The Mid-Level Provider’s Annual Spirits of the Fall fundraiser. We were honored to be able to be Gold sponsors again this year and it turned out to be a great success. This fundraiser is a beer tasting event along with a silent auction to raise

money for scholarships for students wanting to pursue a career in the medical field. This organization has given thousands of dollars in financial assistance to several students from both high schools in the past years. We are glad to be part of this great event. Our staff and family also kicked off the Holiday season by volunteering at the 20th Annual Feast of Sharing. We helped serve over 4,000 hot turkey meals to the community. It was a very successful event and want to thank HEB for donating all the food. Back to Action would also like to congratulate our very own C.C. Winn Mavericks on a very successful football season and for making football history for their school and our hometown. Mavericks won their first ever District Co-Championship, Bi-District Championship, and Area Championship. They advanced all the way to Regional Semi-Finals where they fell short, and finished off their historic season with 10 wins and 3 loses! We are very proud of these young men and their coaching staff. Great work and we are excited for Eagle and Maverick 2017 football season!

Harlingen On November 7th, Back To Action in Harlingen donated two large boxes of food to the Harlingen Neighborhood Food Pantry. They greatly appreciated the donation and said that it will help feedmany people this holiday season. Thank you to all who donated to this cause. We are currently having a Toy Drive and this will run through December 9th. If you are interested, please donate an unopened gift to our clinic before then. These gifts will

be distributed locally to a couple of elementary schools in the Harlingen School District. On November 17th Anita (our receptionist), celebrated her two year anniversary with us. We are very fortunate to have her and appreciate her hard work.
