Fundamentally Sound Tracts For Use in Soul Winning We have just arranged to become the, sole publishers of the following splendid tracts for merly issued by H. B. G1BBUD. Sophie’s Sermon or Called to Scrub and Preach Shows how Sophie Lichenfelter, a poor ignor ant German scrub woman, with her broken English language, became the channel of bless ing to many—working, witnessing for Christ, earning only a trifle yet denying herself, edu cating a missionary, and sending a teacher to the South. thoughts produced by the modern film are concerned. “ That which enters the mind through the eye never comes out,” is an old and true adage of the pedagogue, and school-children have proved it. An example of this statement comes to mind. Some children drew filthy pictures and when questioned as to where they got their ideas, for them they said, “ The movies,” and that in a, play-house which claims to Show “ only clean pictures” and which resents criti cism o^ its programs. BEST ANSWER TO LIBERALISM The editor of “The Way of Faith” was undoubtedly right when he said: “ The day has' come when great lead ers in the Churches should become so distressed over the spiritual famine which manifests itself in Zion, and should so frankly recognize that the enemy has come in like a flood that they will call Conventions to stimu late evangelism and lead their serious- minded membership to seek God and get an experience in their souls. A few good polemic battles will do much to clear the atmosphere; but nothing will effectually answer the new theology but a revival. This will answer it. When penitents begin to weep their way to Calvary and sanctifying fire begins to fall upon -the souls of believers, the new theology movement, to which the cry of penitents is foolishness and the shout of the redeemed is fanaticism, will leave the scenes of revival and seek a more agreeable environment.” Blind Ziska, the Bohemian general, who gave the Pope’s troops so much trouble in the sixteenth century, when dying, said to his officers: “ Take my hide when I am dead, and tan it, and make it into a drum, and beat it at the head of the army, and say Old Ziska still bears testimony for Jesus!”
