T H É K I N G ’S B U S I N E S S but simply dismissed him with a sullen grunt. But while he did not offer one word of approval and appreciation of the changed life at the time, he did watch and honestly investigate, and La did not watch in vain. God’s Mighty Hand Seen At last the time came to present the matter of the exchange of rice fields to the consideration of the gentry, to see if they would grant their approval to the exchange of the temple fields on the west of the stream for Mr. Liu’s fields on the east of the stream. Several Of the gentry had been approached pri vately and had promised their consent and support. At the official meeting one of the younger men put up a strong and really bitter opposition to the ex change. After a long discussion, and when things looked very dark and hope less, our old enemy, Mr. Kuang, arose, called the young opponent outside and there said to him:— “ Now listen to me, you must stop this foolish opposition; these Bible Institute people have done nothing but good in our community during the years that they have been coming here; they have harmed no one, but have helped many; their coming into our midst is all for our good and we must help and not hinder them. Now you come right inside and sign that paper like a decent man.” His words prevailed, the paper was quickly signed and the exchange was made. The fields of the two other owners were se cured also, one lot by exchange the other lot by purchase, but both lots b / the manifest, mighty help of our God. Work Well Under Way It would have been impossible for us to build on the Liu site had not God given us those little rice fields scattered about among the rice fields of the origi nal site. Years of prayer, and many months 'o f careful negotiation while quietly waiting on and for God, have been owned and blessed by Him. We have the deeds of the property, the buildings are under construction, and God in His great goodness has given us part time of a missionary who is a practical builder to supervise the work. To crown it all, the elder Kuang is now our true friend and has assumed the support and care of his son’s wife and child for two years to make it possible for the son to take a full course of

study in the Bible School at Changsha. Young Kuang is here with us now, being trained to preach the glorious Gospel that has so wonderfully transformed his own life. While the elder Kuang has become our friend he has not yet yielded his heart to Jesus Christ. Will you join us in earnest prayer that he may do this? Then the victory will be complete. Frank A. Keller É i M A METHODIST WARRIOR Dr. L. W. Munhall, the veteran evan gelist, Bible teacher and editor, has, during the past year, conducted three evangelistic campaigns, preached over three hundred times, besides publishing The Eastern Methodist ia weekly paper), doing much of the editorial work, and a lot of other work besides. Dr. Munhall will be one of the speak ers of the Fourth Annual Convention of the Christian Fundamentals Association this summer, as well as at the Summer Bible Conference of the Institute, which follows. There are few men living who have a record of continuous service in the Lord’s work equal to that of this grand old man,— strong, virile, definite,— a soldier 'in every sense of the word^— fighting the good fight of faith. • We are surely glad to welcome him to Los Angeles and to the Bible Institute of Los Angeles.' REAL RESURRECTIONS Henry Martin once exclaimed: “ If I ever see a Hindu converted to Jesus Christ, I shall see something more nearly approaching resurrection of a dead body than anything I have ever seen.” It is computed that there are today a million or more native Chris tians in India. “What hath God wrought!” (Num. 23:23).
