singular. Was he offering Him more than just the kingdom of the world? Is It true that being the Prince of the Power of the air, he has other worlds than this under his control? Jesus did not rebuke him for making the offer for he must have had the right to do so. There is one chapter in the Bible which Satan is not particularly anxious we should ever read, and that is Ezek. 28:11-19. In these verses the prophet starts by describing the King of Tyre, but soon is found to be mentioning characteristics of a supernatural being. He is doing what the prophets frequent ly did— describing the evil personality back of the wicked man, the King of Tyre. Here we find to our surprise that Satan was perfect when he was created and that he actually assisted in the wor ship of God, but the reason for his downfall is given in the seventeenth verse as pride; in other words, Satan desired to direct to himself the wor ship which rightfully belonged to God. Another chapter which is seemingly in great disfavor with Satan is Isaiah 14:9-17, where the funeral dirge is writ ten that will mark his final downfall as described in Rev. 20:10. 4 » a » GENESIS Before the book of Genesis I stand And from its bright apocalyptic peak, I watch the stars of God, all in His hand.
