Contemporary Youth in Spain and Latin America: Free Time, Concerns, Risks, and Hobbies I n the following study, I propose to analyze the early stages of life and the changes experienced by the young generation in Spain with the help of examples found in aspects of the life of the current individual. In order to understand an individual or a group of people, it is essential to understand the diverse context in which they are formed, and when we focus on a distinct group of individuals, it is fundamental to look at the elements they have in common. The formative years are the ones that determine many aspects that make up an individual from norms and values to complex adaptation mechanisms. Early childhood is where the child develops fundamental social aspects but also cognitive aspects that are formed throughout life. The first 8 years of life have a significant impact on how the individual will develop in the future because neural pathways are created that are strengthened through habits. The five areas in which a child develops must be addressed with attention from the beginning. These are: cognitive development, social and emotional development, articulation and language development, basic motor skills and fine motor skills. Cognitive development is learning and applying what is learned to solve problems in an individual manner. Social and emotional development is the child’s ability to interact in a social manner and self-control in relation to the environment.
