THE ROLE The Mechanical Engineer will assist on the design and project management of mechanically biased estate development projects across the University portfolio whilst acting as the University's ‘client side' mechanical building services engineer for input into the mechanical and related elements of capital projects. You will participate in the specification of services, consideration of new technologies, coordination with Estates Maintenance & Operations colleagues and the leadership of external consultants and contractors.

The successful candidate will possess proven experience in design and delivery of the mechanical elements of estate development projects of varying scale. You will have strong technical skills, with excellent knowledge and understanding of mechanical building services including design standards, systems and commissioning. It is expected that you will have worked on projects as a Mechanical Engineer either in a client side, consultancy or contractor role.
