Review what has been learned this week about timelines and changes over time. Go through the student edition and review the articles that have already been discussed. 2. Have the students locate the title of the article. Read the title of the article to the students. Prompt the students to think about how they think your class changes/has changed over time. Give students time to share with the class. a. How do you think our class has changed over time? (Answers may vary.) b. Why do you think that? (Answers may vary.) 3. Read the article while the students follow along. Discuss the article. a. Explain that your class changes as new people move in and as people move out. Your class changes as you learn new things each day. 4. Have a discussion about the ways that your class is changing over time. Discuss the people who moved in or out. Discuss the things that the students are learning. Make a list of changes on the board. a. How has our class changed over time? (Answers may vary.) 5. Use the Poster Pal activity “Our Class Changes.” As a class, create a timeline that shows how your class has changed throughout the school year.
